Embodied choice is moving toward purpose, not away from fear.
We often try to think our way through challenges, understand our reactions, or find the right solution. Yet, even when we understand something intellectually, we may continue to experience the same emotions, reactions, and patterns.
When we're navigating a significant life transition, considering a new direction, or taking our business into its next chapter, we might find ourselves caught in overthinking, self-doubt, or familiar patterns that make it difficult to move forward, even when we know what we want.
Somatic coaching brings both mind and body into the process. By developing awareness of what's happening in your body, you can gain a deeper understanding of your habitual responses, stress patterns, and underlying beliefs. This can open up perspectives and possibilities that may not have been accessible through thinking alone.
My role is to hold space, ask questions, and support you in exploring your experiences, body awareness, and habitual patterns. Together, we make space for new perspectives and possibilities, helping you find your next steps in a way that feels aligned with your goals and what matters to you.
Somatic Coaching Offers Another Way Forward
Through Somatic Coaching You Might Begin to…
Recognize what keeps you stuck.
Your body can offer cues about habitual responses, beliefs, and stress patterns that influence how you experience situations, react, and make decisions. Developing somatic awareness can help you understand what's getting in the way of moving forward.
Reconnect with yourself.
Through somatic awareness and nervous system support, you can develop a deeper connection with your body and mind, gaining a fuller understanding of your needs, values, and inner resources.
Respond differently to old patterns.
Learn to meet familiar reactions with greater awareness and curiosity, allowing new responses and possibilities to emerge—without forcing or fighting what is there.
Make embodied choices.
By bringing together your intellectual understanding and the cues your body gives you, you can begin making choices that feel more aligned with what matters to you.
Move forward with greater clarity and agency.
Explore fresh perspectives, reconnect with your own resources, and take your next steps from a more grounded sense of yourself.
What Are Sessions Like?
We'll work with what you bring into each session. This might be a specific situation, a decision you're facing, a recurring challenge, or simply a sense that something in your life or business needs to change.
Alongside talking and reflection, in somatic coaching we may:
Bring gentle awareness to body sensations, breathing, and posture
Explore thoughts, emotions, and habitual patterns
Use mindfulness and grounding practices to support being present with what is
Notice how your nervous system responds to different situations
Explore patterns of tension, holding, or activation and what happens when we bring awareness to them
Notice into impulses and responses as they arise, making space to explore them without forcing anything
Pause and allow time for insights and integration
My approach is gentle and trauma-aware, and we work at a pace that feels supportive for you. There is no need to push, fix, or revisit experiences you're not ready to explore.
Somatic coaching is a coaching approach, not a substitute for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. It does not involve diagnosing or treating mental or physical health conditions.
Leave With Practical Tools
Our sessions can help you discover practical, embodied tools to return to in everyday life. Between sessions, I may suggest simple, optional somatic practices and inquiries to support integration and deepen insight.
Over time, you can build your own personal resilience toolkit, with resources you can continue using to support yourself through challenges and future transitions.
Ready to Explore What Could Change?
In a free discovery call, we can explore what you're navigating, what you're looking for, and whether somatic coaching feels like the right fit for you. I work with clients online across many countries and timezones.
Change starts with expanding our capacity to be with ourselves and with what is.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Prepare to be in a private space where you have some room to move.
Ideally, wear comfortable clothing.
Some props can be helpful for somatic coaching (e.g. cushions or a Pilates ball for support), but don’t worry—we’ll work with what you have available.
Have pen and paper nearby in case you want to write down any insights.
You may also want to have some drinking water nearby.
If possible, allow a little extra time after the session. You might go for a walk, journal, or simply rest. The work will continue to integrate after the session.
-
Absolutely! Somatic coaching works very well online. Since the work focuses on developing body awareness, exploring sensations, emotions, and patterns, and learning to listen to your body's signals, we can do this just as effectively via Zoom.
I'll guide you through explorations that you can experience in your own space, at your own pace. Online coaching also offers the flexibility of connecting from wherever you are, without the need to travel.

It depends on your goals, and what you would like to explore. Some topics can shift significantly in a single session, while others benefit from a series of sessions that allow safety, awareness, and integration to develop over time.
In our work together, we move at a pace that feels supportive for you, allowing space to explore what comes up, deepen your awareness, and integrate new insights into your everyday life. Rather than following a fixed program, we regularly check in on your progress and adjust our focus as your needs evolve.
Between sessions, I may suggest simple, optional somatic practices and inquiries to support integration and deepen insight. These are invitations, not additional tasks or obligations.
You don't need to commit to a long-term process from the beginning. We can start with a single session and explore together whether and how continuing would be helpful for you.

Somatic coaching offers a space to explore your present experience, develop awareness, and discover new ways of responding to life's challenges. While I am trained in trauma-informed approaches and holding space for whatever arises, somatic coaching is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for medical care. When additional support is needed, I encourage working with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Approaches I Draw From
Depending on what you bring into our work together, I draw on different perspectives and practices to support your exploration.
Inquiry & Exploration
Through curious questions and gentle exploration, we bring awareness to your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and habitual patterns. We make space for you to explore your experience, discover new perspectives, and find your own way forward.
Mindbody Coaching & Somatic Stress Release™
By bringing greater awareness to sensations in the body, you may begin to notice stress responses and patterns that have become habitual. In a safe and supportive space, we explore bodily responses and impulses as they arise, creating opportunities to relate to stress and activation in new ways.
Nervous System Regulation
Drawing on polyvagal-informed perspectives, we may explore how your nervous system responds to different situations and discover practices that support a greater sense of safety, flexibility, and resilience.
Mindfulness & Meditation
Mindfulness can help you observe thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences with greater awareness. Meditation is an important ongoing support in my own life, but it is entirely optional for you. If you're interested, I'm happy to support you in exploring or developing a meditation practice.
